Manila [Philippines], November 17: Super Typhoon Man-yi uprooted trees, toppled power lines and ripped roofs off homes as it swept through the Philippines this morning, November 17.
Super typhoon Man-yi still carried winds of up to 185 km/h after making landfall on the Philippine island of Catanduanes late on November 16, according to AFP.
More than 650,000 people have been evacuated as the Philippines' national weather agency warned of "potentially catastrophic and life-threatening" impacts from super typhoon Man-yi.
GMA News reported that more than 4,700 passengers were stranded due to severe weather caused by super typhoon Man-yi this morning, November 17.
